Volunteering at Yura

At Yura, volunteering is not just about helping — it’s about learning to live in community, caring for the land, and growing through shared responsibility.

Volunteers are an essential part of Yura’s daily life.
We welcome people who feel called to contribute with presence, responsibility, and openness — while receiving space to rest, learn, and connect with nature and community.

What Volunteering at Yura Really Is

Volunteering at Yura is a mutual exchange.
You offer your time, care, and responsibility — and in return, you receive accommodation, food support, learning through lived experience, and immersion in a conscious community.

This is not a retreat, and not a free stay.
It is a shared rhythm of work, rest, learning, and presence.

How the Exchange Works

🕒 Time commitment:
20 hours per week (approximately 3–4 hours per day, 5 days a week)

  1. 🛏️ What you receive:
    • Shared ccommodation
    • Integration in Tulum community
    • Access to community life and activities
    • Learning through daily practice

  2. 🧘 Days off:
1–2 days per week (depending on the flow of the space)

  3. 📅 Minimum stay:
    2–4 weeks (longer stays preferred)

Life at Yura

Life at Yura follows natural rhythms.
Some weeks are calm and spacious, others are more active and demanding.
Volunteers are invited to adapt, communicate, and move with flexibility.

Silence, presence, collaboration, and respect are part of daily life.

Agreements & Responsibility

All volunteers are asked to read, understand, and agree to Yura’s community agreements before arriving.

These agreements exist to protect:

  • The land

  • The people

  • The integrity of the space
