Three Days with the HUNI KUIN
Pey Kawã Family
A private residential gathering rooted in the living traditions of
the Huni Kuin people from the Brazilian Amazon.
Marbella · Spain
17–19 July 2026
A Rare Opportunity
The Pey Kãwã family rarely travels outside the Amazon.
This intimate gathering offers the opportunity to spend three days living alongside their traditions through songs, ceremonies, conversations and community life.
Rather than a workshop or retreat in the conventional sense, this is an invitation to participate respectfully in a living cultural tradition carried across generations.
TXANA INU YUBE
HUNI KUIN
Inu Yube is a Txana, a singer and musician of the Huni Kuin prayers, and the son of Pajé Nai Beiya Īkamuru and master weaver Nāke. Born in Aldeia Boa Vista on the Rio Jordão, he has been walking inside ceremony since he was a small child, sitting beside his father. He has completed the Muka dieta and many other sacred dietas of his people.
He carries the same medicines as his father — Nixi Pae, Hume Heshke, Shanētsamati, Kapū — and the full sound and song body of the Huni Kuin tradition. Inu Yube blends ancestral culture with contemporary elements, incorporating the guitar into sacred prayers and balancing tradition and modernity. He studies traditional stories and medicines with his father and is currently completing two books on his research.
As a representative of the Pey Kãwã family, he established the first Huni Kuin Cultural and Spiritual Center in São Paulo-SP, Brazil — creating opportunities for his people's youth and a bridge between the village and the world.
TXANANY — THE FEMININE PRESENCE
Ana Clara Txanany is a Shaneibu guardian, wife of Inu Yube and mother of her sons. For more than ten years she has walked the path of the medicine, completing many traditional dietas and stepping into her place as a rising medicine woman of the Huni Kuin. Communicator, cultural producer, and artist, she is dedicated to supporting Huni Kuin projects inside and outside the village — holding tradition, lifestyle, and spirituality as one continuous thread. In ceremony, Ana Clara plays a crucial role: she guides the ceremony with Yube, organises the space, cares for the participants, and enriches the experience with sacred songs and prayers — blending her voice and her guitar to create a unique spiritual atmosphere.

The Yura Approach
For over five years, Yura has walked alongside the Pey Kãwã family, supporting cultural exchange through gatherings rooted in trust, reciprocity and long-term relationship.
A Bridge Built Through Relationship
At Yura, we believe meaningful cultural exchange can only happen through long-term relationships built on trust, respect and reciprocity.
For over five years, we have walked alongside the Pey Kãwã family—not simply as event organizers, but as students, friends and collaborators. Together, we have shared more than thirty gatherings across Mexico, Europe and beyond, creating spaces where Indigenous traditions can be experienced with authenticity and care.
Our role is not to interpret or represent their culture.
Our role is to create the conditions for genuine encounters to happen.
Walking Together
The Pey Kãwã family leads every ceremony, shares every song and carries every tradition according to their own lineage.
Yura supports the journey by caring for the logistics, the hosting and the relationships that allow these gatherings to unfold with integrity.
This partnership exists to honour Indigenous knowledge while creating respectful bridges between cultures.
Guided by Reciprocity
We believe that cultural exchange should never become extraction.
Every gathering is designed so that participants receive meaningful experiences while directly supporting the people who carry this knowledge through generations.
Your participation contributes to:
The cultural work of the Pey Kãwã family.
Future journeys and community projects.
The continuation of traditional knowledge.
Long-term relationships rooted in mutual respect.
Why We Keep Our Gatherings Small
We intentionally welcome only a small number of participants.
This creates space for genuine conversation, shared meals, personal interaction and the natural rhythm of community life.
Rather than presenting a performance, we invite you into a living cultural exchange where everyone is encouraged to participate with presence, humility and respect.
