SINGING CIRCLE

A ceremonial space for voice, prayer, and collective intention

At Yura, the Singing Circle is a living practice where voice becomes prayer and community becomes medicine.
A space to gather, listen, and share what lives in the heart.

What Is the Singing Circle?

Each Singing Circle may include different elements, depending on the group and intention. These elements are always held with respect, consent, and care.

  • Prayer with tobacco, copal, roses, and cacao

  • Mantras and devotional chants

  • Sacred songs from the Amazonian forest

  • Medicine music shared with humility and respect

  • Collective intention-setting and heart sharing

  • Silence, listening, and integration

A Space for Community & Intention

The Singing Circle is a place where the community is invited to share what they wish to cultivate in their lives and bring into the world.

Some circles are open to everyone.
Others are held for specific intentions or groups.

In all cases, the focus remains the same:

  • presence before sound

  • intention before expression

  • listening before singing

This creates a field where each person can arrive as they are.

Everyone Is Welcome to Sing

You do not need experience to join the Singing Circle.

This space welcomes:

  • people who have never sung in public

  • beginners and shy voices

  • experienced singers and musicians

Each person is invited to sing when they feel ready — or simply to listen.
There is no pressure and no hierarchy of voices.

The circle is held so that every voice matters.

Music as Prayer

In the Singing Circle, music is approached as prayer.

The songs may come from different devotional and ancestral traditions and are shared in a way that is accessible and respectful.
Repetition, simplicity, and collective rhythm allow the group to enter a shared state of presence.

This is music medicine — not as performance, but as remembrance.

How the Circle Is Held

The Singing Circle is facilitated by Ariê, together with musicians and space holders from the Yura community.

The role of facilitation is to:

  • hold a grounded and safe ceremonial field

  • guide the collective rhythm and flow

  • protect the intimacy and integrity of the space

Each circle is adapted to the group while remaining rooted in the same essence.

Singing Circle for Retreats & Curated Program

The Singing Circle can also be offered as a curated experience for retreats, hotels, and partner spaces.

It can be integrated into:

  • multi-day retreats

  • opening or closing ceremonies

  • evening community gatherings

  • special moments of intention and integration

Each collaboration begins with a conversation, ensuring alignment with the intention, group, and context.
